Review the information on assistive technology provided by the following websites. Additional web resources may also be used, but you are asked to document your sources.  Prepare a short 1-2 page report which responds to one of the following scenarios (either Part 1 or Part 2).

1. Describe your work (or personal) experience with individuals with disabilities who use assistive technology. Cite specific information from web resources which is relevant to your knowledge and experience with AT.

Describe in a separate paragraph your definition of AT.  This definition for AT should be one which would be readily understood by an individual who is unfamiliar with disabilities or AT.

2. If you have limited work or personal experience with AT, describe the areas of AT, which you find the most interesting.  Describe any cautions or concerns you have about the applications of specific types of AT.  List types or categories of AT, which you feel might be applicable to your caseload.  (ie. Non-traditional uses of AT, such as screen readers for individuals who have specific learning disabilities.)

Describe in a separate paragraph your definition of AT which would be readily understood by an individual who is unfamiliar with disabilities or AT.
