Counselor I is responsible for providing rehabilitation services to all eligible individuals in an assigned work area. Duties involve the provision of substantial services leading toward successful employment of vocationally handicapped individuals in accordance with the Commission policy (developing referral sources and obtaining appropriate referrals; determining client eligibility; coordinating development of the IWRP).

Education and Experience:
Master's degree in Vocational Rehabilitation from accredited college or university; OR Master's degree in Counseling and Guidance, Education, Social Work, Sociology, or Psychology plus one(1) year of work related experience. Provide vocational rehabilitation and community reintegration services to survivors of brain injury experiencing cognitive and physical problems. Includes job development, supervision of community job trials, individual and group counseling, job coaching and case management.

Qualifications: Requires a bachelor's degree in human services. Ability to speak Spanish is desirable.
