Community Transition Counselor

This individual will develop and implement community education and community networks to assist graduates from the San Diego Center for the Blind and other individuals who are blind or have vision impairments in their transitions back to their communities. This will include working with schools, hospitals, recreation and retirement facilities, job development programs, businesses and other relevant community resources.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling or related field.
• Two years experience working with people with disabilities preferred.
• Good working knowledge of community resources.
• Excellent oral/written communication skills both with individuals and groups.
• Experience or ability in working with small and large businesses.
• Good driving record and up-to-date auto insurance. (*Reasonable accommodation will be provided to the successful applicant who is in need.)
